Dear Denny, and Tweeters,
A lot of response on my question. But is this possible that 68 birders travel in the middle of winter to the northwest? Some one would have run in to this group. This had to be some tour bus,to manage in this kind of weather.
Thanks for responding,

Cheers Ruth

Hi Ruth,

Sri Lanka is the islnd south of India. It used to be called Ceylon. Sounds like you can add 68 more to your list.

The Sri-Lankan Ornithological club stopped to see the pink-footed geese on Sunday, continuing their bus-tour of the pacific states. In all, 68 Sri-Lankan birders saw the geese.
Cheers,
Albi
