Hi Tweets:

Six East Lake Washington Audubon birders were on a field trip to East Lake
Sammamish State Park on Thursday morning when there was "no weather", just
slushy snow. We saw 45 species including Brown Creeper, Varied Thrush, Eurasian
Wigeon, Wilson's Snipe, Common Goldeneye, Hooded Merganser, Green-winged Teal,
and Red-breasted Sapsucker. Raptors included Bald Eagle, Red-tailed Hawk and
Sharp-shinned Hawk. Among the highlights were 4 American Pipit and an
albinistic Fox Sparrow. A picture of the sparrow can be seen at www.elwas.org,
highlights and events in the left column, Jan. 8 field trip. Photo should be
available Jan. 9th. This Fox Sparrow was in the blackberry bushes at the west end
of the large parking lot near the edge of the lake.
