Unless people want tweeters to be a clique for insiders only to understand,
I think it would be best to save them for your scientific feild notes, and
not to use them on tweeters at all. If you want to abbreviate to save
typing time you could use "r.b. nuthatch" or maybe even "r b sapsukr" so
that anyone moderately familiar with local birds could figure it out.
