Spring is springing - well at least the first signs are: 1 Bewick's
wren singing, lots of red-winged blackbirds displaying and the Canada
geese are getting excited.

Pretty excellent selection of stuff this afternoon:

1 male Eurasian teal
1 male redhead
1 male northern pintail
7 common mergansers
2 hooded mergansers
7 canvasbacks
3 northern flickers, including 2 yellow-shafted forms
4 yellow-rumped warblers
6 american pipits
1 Cooper's hawk
3 virginia rails calling
3 great blue herons
1 Wilson's snipe
1 killdeer

Earlier in the week (Thursday evening) I stumbled (literally) across a
dunlin feeding along the path on the western side while I was jogging
around the Fill at around 8pm.
