Singing SONG SPARROWS on both sides of the river, along with one singing BEWICK'S WREN entertained me during this brief scan. A RED-TAILED HAWK was again on duty on the power tower next to SR 599 to the south of Turning Basin #3. No ducks seen, which surprised me, especially since Mallards and Gadwalls are usually about. They could have been feeding in the sheltered part of river, behind the area where the goose-exclusion "string" is set up.
