Hi Tweeters,
Like Ryan Shaw, I finally went down to Hoquiam with a friend to look for the
PF Goose, but could not find it. I was sick all last week and could not get
down until today. I guess what they say about the early bird getting the
worm is true. This was around 11:30 AM. About a half an hour later a
gentleman from Seattle with an Audubon cap came by and said he had been
there 2 days before and hadn't seen it then either. The lone White-Fronted
was still there with about 35 Canadas and some Wigeons and Pintails. Went
back after lunch around 1:30 and the situation hadn't changed.
The good news is that I found the White-Tailed Kite in Elma. It was on
Wenzel Slough Road, near the end south of the airport. Finished a nice day
with a sunset and a view of a River Otter on the Nisqually River.
