The Spokane Valley Snow Goose was still present this
afternoon (1/17/03, 1:45 PM). It was on back side of
the flock of geese and took about five minutes of
scanning before it could be seen between the towering
Canadas. This bird appears to be transitioning into
adult plumage.

Since this is the first Snow Goose I have seen in
Spokane County, I think that this a good winter
record.
