On the Kent Ponds census today I found an American Tree Sparrow in the
meadows area, hanging around the small footbridge. Other highlights were an
American Bittern (from grassy knoll), a Snow Goose and two Greater
White-fronted Geese flying around the area, a juv Peregrine, and two
Northern Shrikes.

Before sunrise, a pair of Great Horned Owls were calling at the end of 287th
Street. A Peregrine was seen just before sunrise at Smith Brothers Dairy,
already eating a bird (small waterfowl or such). It must have caught it
while it was still very dark. Around noon along Frager Road on the west
side of the Green River just north of Willis Street, across from Kent's
Riverbend Golf Course, there was one Western Scrub-Jay.
