Hello Tweeters & Birders!!!
Sad to say,but the two Pink-footed Geese and also the two White-fronted Gees are also been going. It was on Saturday the 10th that the 2 Geese was seeing by us and other birders. But on the 11th there was only 1 Pink-footed and 1 Greater White-fronted Geese left. And on the 12th there was no report since least six birders went and could not find them. I received a late report from two birders who went on the 9th and saw the Geese also.I got news from a birder who researched this big group who touring the Pacific North West that is the SRI Lanka an Island of India.I found out that this group of birders taken tours a lot and is an active Ornithology group. The message got sent by Earl Bean.So counting the 68 birders and the two late reports stands now of 454 birders.I also found out that the place in Canada Langley have an old pair of Pink-footed Geese, but mention that the Pink-footed Geese is not in demand there for not likely be kept in captivity.
There are 1 Pink-footed Geese being sighted since the 9th of January in Coatesville Reservoir in Chester County Pennsylvania.
Thank you all for participating in this counting the Geese,it was nice tat there stayed this long, but now we having another bird to see the Greater Black-backed Gull in Renton. It is a good start for the year 2004 and many other birds to follow.
