At 1:50 p.m. today, Mike & MerryLynn Denny and I found
the GBBG bathing in the current at the mouth of the
Cedar River. After bathing the bird made a short
flight to a perch on a gravel bar, where it preened
for quite some time amongst a group of Glaucous Wings,
etc.
Prior to my arrival, Mike & MerryLynn had a SLATY
BACKED GULL fly in fairly close in front of them at
the viewing area at the same location. They were able
to capture some excellent digital images that they
will be posting after they reach home. The bird was
scared off by an airplane and flew off toward Coulon
Park to the west.

Good Gulling!
