Amphibians around here stay fairly active during the winter. Both Ensatinas and Northwestern Salamanders have turned up in my yard over the past few months. We've had long-toed salamander and red-legged frog eggs in Olympia for about two weeks now (probably earlier but that's when I started looking) I usually find chorus frog eggs the last week of January or so. Unfortunately, toads are getting pretty hard to find. Has anyone seen (heard) any signs of toad breeding behavior over the past couple of years?
