Greetings all,
I happened to see a couple of interesting things on my way back from Seattle
this afternoon, as my dad and I cruised through the Kent-Auburn Valley.
What would seem to be a Harlan's Hawk, in first year plumage, is at the
intersection of M Street NW and 15th Street NW, just off the Valley Freeway
near Emerald Downs. An adult Harlan's spent a week or two in precisely the
same spot March 2003.
Also in the fields SW of the insection of Frager Road and the West Valley
Highway, there were two Trumpeter Swans and a calling female N Harrier.
Cheers
Charlie Wright
