Sherry Thiel and I spent a few hours at the Nisqually Refuge on Saturday
and at Lake Sacajewa on Sunday.
At the Nisqually Refuge we had;
1 Eurasian Wigeon in the front ponds
1 Rough Legged Hawk seen flying and hovering from the barns
1 Northern Shrike hunting near the front ponds
1 Short Earred Owl in an open field near McAllister Creek
1 Pergegrine Falcon along the Nisqually River
1 Cooper's Hawk along McAllister Creek
1 Hairy Woodpecker along the Nisqually River
1 Earred Grebe at Luhr Beach

At Lake Sacajewa in Longview we had;
4 Wood Ducks
6 Lesser Scaups
2 Eurasian Wigeons
2 Scrub Jays
2 Herring Gulls
1 Thayer's Gull
3 Ring Billed Gulls
2 Pied Billed Grebes that reared up and looked as if they were running
in place on the water.
