We have found 4 dead pine siskins in our yard within the past week. We have
had a large number at our feeders this winter, sometimes numbering as many
as 70. They are well fed. Should we suspect something contagious? Or is
this just a normal winter toll? We have had dead siskins in previous
winters, but never this many, this close together.
