Hi,

About a year ago I posted a call for partners to pool video and create an
at-cost DVD of birds of the PNW. We're about finished and expect to have
copies made soon but are not sure how many to order. Cost, including postage
should be less than $10 per copy. A lot of the footage is gorgeous. In fact,
in editing I keep replacing clips I thought were outstanding with clips from
partner Gaylord Mink. Some of his clips put some of mine to shame! But
between us, plus a few clips from Hugh Jennings and Joshua Smith, most clips are
excellent and very few are marginal. (We've dropped some species rather than
use low-quality clips.)

Would it be legitimate to put a short blurb on TWEETERS describing the DVD
and asking people who think they'd like a copy to contact us? Blurb would
read something like:

A small group of us have pooled our bird video and are producing a DVD with
220 birds of the Pacific Northwest, which we'll sell at our cost, which will
be less than $10 per copy, including postage. To decide how many copies to
have made, we need an estimate of how many people would be interesting. It
should be available by mid-March. If interested, please contact (probably Al
Wagar, alwagar at aol.com or Gaylord Mink, email address)

Thanks,

Al Wagar
