Tweeters and Matthew:

Don't know if it counts as northeast WA, but I had a vocalizing
Cordilleran-type Flycatcher at Liberty Lake Regional Park (east of Spokane
close to Idaho) June 21, 2001. I recall reading that they occur at Kamiak
Butte also, but that's far southward and out of northeast WA if memory
serves. Other than (some) differences from Pacific-slope in voice, I recall
the Liberty Lake bird struck me as very visually accomodating, coming into
open view at the tree's outer branches as I watched.

Related to earlier opinions on the interesting Western Flycatcher taxonomic
case, one wonders if we might not have a similar situation to that of
GW/Western Gulls and Hermit/Townsend's Warblers: Washington is the hotspot
for vast hybridization between two taxa.
