HI:
Christie's Of New York (City) on 25 June 2004 auction off an
incomplete
set of Audubon's folio. They sold it plate by plate for a total of
$5,744,158.
According to the results the American Flamingo was the highest priced
plate at
$197,900. But the Wild Turkey plate (number 1 in the folio) was supposed
to go
for a higher price, BUT it didn't sell!
