Sunday bird walk to the Englishman River Estuary from
Shelly Road side on July 04,04, 9:00 am to 12:10 pm. The tides were low
and it was warm, but not too hot.
There were eighteen Sunday birders including two visitors from Australia
and we saw and heard sixty-four species. We all had great looks at the
Greater Yellowlegs and a flock of about twenty Lesser and Western
Sandpipers flew right over us. We watched two young Rufous Hummingbirds
on a branch as they waited for mom to feed them.
