I have a pair of band-tailed pigeons that are coming to my platform feeder,
filled with black-oil sunflower seeds. They supposedly eat nuts, berries,
seeds & acorns. The pair (I assume it is the same pair) shows up each June,
and just recently there have been four! I assume it is their chicks, as
they are all gray, that are accompanying mom & pop. They are sweet birds,
monogamous, very shy, and they do migrate - so enjoy them while they are
here:)
