Subject: Swainson's, cowbird host

Yesterday I found an active Swainson's thrush nest in one of the young
cedars trees that lines my property (second year in a row Swainson's have
used my young cedars to nest in!). I saw four eggs in the small cup
nest--three blue eggs and one whitish egg with brown speckles. The mother
has not rejected the cowbird egg. Can anyone tell me what to expect after
the eggs hatch? Can the baby thrushes survive with an aggressive cowbird
chick competing for their food?
Thanks.
