Greetings Tweeters,
My wife and I were able to get out to bird only briefly over the busy holiday weekend on Monday afternoon, so we headed over to my "new" local spot, the Hundred Acre Woods in South Tacoma / North Lakewood. The update is that we have reached 50 species in the 30 days I've been prowling the site with the addition of a nice pair of Downy Wookpeckers.
The question came up when my wife asked me if Starlings roost in large flocks the way Crows do. It was getting toward evening and there were roughly 250 to 300 Starling draped accross three large snags on the property. That's more than I have ever seen there before. So the question is, Do they?
Thanks,
-Rolan
