Gary Wiles called me before 9:00 this morning with news that the BROWN
PELICAN is still present on the Olympia waterfront (North Point on Marine
DR, KGY radio station) and has been joined by an adult HEERMANN'S GULL!
It's like a little Ocean Shores over here! Come on shearwaters!

Instead of showering I jumped in the car and raced down the hill. Sure
enough, the gull was still present and sat on the log next to his pal/free
lunch. The lighting was much better this morning and with the sun to my
right and behind me I was able to see the shading and bill color on the
gull. Also got better looks at the pelican's face and back color as it
preened. Look at yesterday's post for directions to this site. THANKS
GARY!!
