Three BLACK SWIFTS and a RED-TAILED HAWK were spotted flying above Corfield Road in Parksville.

Saturday July 03:
An ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD has been a winter resident along Whitney Road in Nanaimo for seven years.
Four RED-EYED VIREO'S were seen at the end of Renz Road in the woods at Parksville.

Thursday July 01:
A albino NORTHWESTERN CROW was sighted at Rathtrevor Provincial Park.

Wednesday June 30:
A GREAT HORNED OWL was spotted along the trail running beside the road leading to Sunset Beach at Neck Point Park in Nanaimo.

Tuesday June 29,
CHIPPING SPARROWS with young and two MUTE SWANS were seen in the Nanoose
Bay area.

Monday June28:
One NORTHERN PYGMY-OWL and a WESTERN TANAGER were spotted at the Beaver
Ponds in Morrell Sanctuary, Nanaimo.
A BARRED OWL was being mobbed by four AMERICAN ROBINS on the Fire Lane
Outlook at Morrell Sanctuary in Nanaimo.

Saturday June 26:
A White CANADA GOOSE was seen at Craig Bay in Parksville.
A female PINE GROSBEAK was seen coming to feeders along Pylades Drive in
Yellow Point in Cedar.

Friday June 25:
A GRAY JAY was seen in the area of lot 89 at Rivers Edge sub-division off
Kaye Road, behind the weigh scale in Parksville.
A BARRED OWL was seen being mobbed by AMERICAN ROBINS on the fire road in
Morrell Sanctuary in Nanaimo.

Thursday June 24:
Two adults and five young VIRGINA RAIL were seen at Buttertubs Marsh in
Nanaimo.

This Sunday morning bird walk, July 11, will be going to Legacy Marsh in upper Lantzville.
Meet at the store at 8:30 am or at the power line right of way on Normarel Drive at Legacy Marsh at about 8:45 am.
