Subject: Everett Osprey Nest Video Camera

One of the many Osprey nests in the Snohomish River estuary is now
outfitted with a video camera that transmits to a monitor in the
"Discovery Hut" at Jetty Island. The video is live in real time
and the image is in close to the nest so you can see a lot of
detail. There are two young in the nest that are going on three
weeks old now. We are seeking funding for a webserver so the
images are not on the web yet, but may be at some point in the
future. All the equipment at the nest as well as at Jetty is
solar powered. If you visit Jetty Island be sure to stop in at
the Discovery Hut to see what antics these little guys are up to.

The free ferry is now running Wed-Sun from the 10th St Boat Ramp.
