Hello everybody,

I'll be traveling to Grand Teton NP next week and your state in August. Among the many birds I'll be looking for in both places are some woodpeckers, notably:

Williamson's sapsucker
Three-toed woodpecker
White-headed woodpecker

My basic question is, are any of these birds still calling by now? How about by August?

I might as well ask now about locations for the latter two species in Washington. Through previous requests, I've learned that the Wenas campground area is good for the white-headed, so I do plan to visit there. Again, though, how detectable are they by the time mid-August rolls around? Are they pretty much silent by then?

If I strike out on the 3-toed next week at Grand Teton, I'll be looking in Washington, but I don't have any specific locations there. I have a vague idea that the Tiffany Mtn area may be good, and it is nearby another place I definitely plan to visit, the Loup Loup campground. Are there any places where they are being consistently seen this summer?

Thanks again in advance. You folks have been a tremendous help thus far!
