I believe the bird is a Great-tailed Grackle, as the bird's calls are consistent with this species. However, I'm not sure if there is a lot of overlap in the songs of the two species. Also the bird just seems too large to be a Common Grackle. This fact along with its long stay in the area all seem to indicate Great-tailed Grackle to me.
