Tuesday July 13, 2004:
Two MERLINS were spotted at Pipers Lagoon in Nanaimo.
One RED-NECK GREBE was seen at the Little Qualicum River Estuary north of Qualicum Beach.

Monday July 12:
Three COMMON NIGHTHAWKS and five BLACK SWIFTS were seen above the 2500 block of Glenayr Drive in Nanaimo.

Sunday July 11:
A SORA with two young was sighted at Hamilton Marsh in Qualicum Beach.
GREATER YELLOWLEGS, BLACK TURNSTONES, LEAST SANDPIPERS, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS, BLACK OYSTERCATCHERS and five KILLDEER were seen on the ponds at Columbia Beach near the Pebble Beach Townhouses in French Creek.

Twenty-three Sunday birders went to Legacy Marsh in upper Lantzville and found the following forty-eight species.

A female LUZULI BUNTING has been coming to feeders in Port Hardy.

Thursday July 08:
A WESTERN TANAGER was sighted in a yard along Brody's Place in north Nanaimo.

Wednesday July 07:
Two PEREGRINE FALCONS were seen at the Nanaimo River Estuary in south Nanaimo.

Tuesday July 06:
Seven CEDAR WAXWINGS, one BARRED OWL, a WESTERN TANAGER, several MARSH WRENS and a DOWNEY WOODPECKER were seen at Hemer Provincial Park in Cedar.

meet at the Bird Store at 8:30 am or at the Miners Cabin Parking lot at Jingle Pot Road and Third Street
