11:25am start - water level low; all mudflats visible; incoming tide
12:10pm end

Tweeters,
High, thin, clouds and a north breeze during this scan. The Hamm Creek OSPREYS were all active, with the young starting to stand with opened wings, female off the nest most of the time, and the male bringing in sticks (one of them double his length). One that latter stick was deposited, "Mom" flew up to the nest from her perch on the south supporting crossbar, and proceeded to rearrange the house, working her way around the "kids."

Many (about 450) EUROPEAN STARLINGS were feeding on the first of the blackberries here on the east side of the river.

Birds seen during this scan include the following:
Canada Goose (58)
Mallard (4)
Double-crested Cormorant (2)
Osprey (2 adults; 3 large young at Hamm Creek)
Killdeer (5)
Least Sandpipers (9; feeding near the Boeing bridge on the west bank)
Glaucous-winged Gull (4)
Rock Pigeon (6)
American Crow (5)
Cliff Swallow (about 30)
Barn Swallow
Bewick's Wren (2)
European Starling (about 450)
House Finch (2)
American Goldfinch
House Sparrow (6)

May all your birds be identified,
