Its that time again, my annual family trip to the seattle area and I couldn't wait to send out RFIs any longer! I am coming out later than I ever have before so I expect the birdlife will be a little different. First I have a few questions about the waterbirds. As I'm sure the residents of everett know, the sound in that area (as well as others) is pretty dead in the summer, a few murrlets, guillemots, caspian terns, gulls, and dc cormorants but thats about it. What I was wondering is, does this change in the fall? I will be in Everett from August 5th to 17th

1. Are Pacific loons, Western Grebes, Brandt's Cormorants, or Brant seen in the everett area at this time?
2. I have heard somewhere that there is a decent sized wintering flock of Barrow's Goldeneye that winters around the Mukilteo ferry dock, are any of these birds in the area by august?
3. Are there any black turnstones or surfbirds in the area at this time, especially on the rocky end of jetty island or the everett waterfront?

In my four trips to the area over the past four summers I have done pretty well with finding songbirds except for warblers and vireos where my luck has been dismal. what I was wondering was can Cassin's Vireo, Huttons Vireo, Townsend's Warbler,or Magillivray's Warbler be easier to find in the everett area during the fall migration? and if so will I be out there during the fall songbird migration? Also what is the status of Dusky, Hammonds, or olive-sided flycatchers in migration in everett, I know O.S breeds but I wondered if they would be more common during migration?

Lastly, are there any golden crowned sparrows in the area at this time or is it too early?

Thanks so much for any info you all have, and I look forward, as always, to visiting the amazing pacific northwest again!
