Hi Tweets,
I have noticed that the hummers are really enjoying our garden this year. I have planted quite a few things I thought they would like, so I thought you might like to have the list.

Nastursiums (seem to be the favorite), bee balm, hosta flowers, cat mint, sage flowers, crocusmosia, sweet peas, penstemon, allium flowers, borage, hardy fushia, delphinium, and snap dragons.

I enjoy the flowers nearly as much as the birds do. But planting a wild life friendly garden sure brings them in.

The hummers are very curious and hang around the feeders while the other birds are eating. While the violet greens were getting ready to fledge, they would hover around the box opening and try to get in the nest. Bathing in a lily leaf full of water was a treat. I was wishing for a camera for those special moments but they do not seem to like posing for pictures when the camera is there.
