Tweets,

July 15, 7:15-8:00pm, I made an after-work "light" survey of lower Weir Prairie. Directions: Off Rainier Rd. just north of Military Rd, S. Thurston Co. Highlights:
C NIGHTHAWK (2, one displaying/diving--my "target" bird)
VESPER SPARROW (at least 2, on the road near the fenceline corner)
N BOBWHITE
Misses: Savannah Sparrow, Song Sparrow, W Meadowlark
Species: 36 (see list below)

July 14, 7:15-8:00pm (high tide), found the BROWN PELICAN on the large floating log beyond the "cormorant buoy" as per previous reports. Location: Budd Inlet, Port of Olympia, from the KGY station (past Swantown Marina). Also at least two Bald Eagles along West Bay drive.

The YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT at Mull Rd. pond (off Hwy 507 just east of Tenino) was last heard the first week of July, and was not heard this week. It is pretty quiet and could certainly still be present.
