forbes creek appears to be the home of several green heron juveniles... i'm
lucky enough to be watching them from my apartment window even as i type
this...

at least one has been around for about a week now, but this morning a second
was spotted only 30 feet from the first... i thought i might have seen a
third, but these guys are masters of disguise; i misidentified one as a
tree branch about 30 seconds before he moved... :)
