does anyone know what percentage of male house finches in the puget sound
area have yellow as their head colour rather than the raspberry red?

i was just working through my catalog of a few weeks ago when i found a
house finch with yellow splots on the head... reading stokes, males can
sometimes have yellow instead of red in a particular region...

the yellow is a first for me here, so i thought i'd ask if this was an
extreme rarity for the area, or something that pops up from time to time
(like the partial albino red-winged blackbird found at juanita bay park and,
according to reliable sources, other places between juanita and everett)?

thanks...
