The Hundred Acre Woods in NE Lakewood (South Tacoma) reached it's 52nd species yesterday evening with the appearance of a Band-tailed Pigeon. That's 52 species since the first week of June, and I still haven't found a Junco out there! The Wood Pewees persist in large numbers, and the Grosbeak, Quail and Creepers are seen or heard on almost every visit. On average, a 45 minute stop nets 24 to 25 species. Great fun!
