I try to head to the saltwater, especially to places like the Semiahmoo Spit
at Blaine. There's usually a nice breeze coming off the water---no matter the
wind direction since it's a narrow spit. It's also a good opportunity to canoe
out to the nesting colony of Double-crested Cormorants and gulls on the
Blaine breakwater. Interesting place.

When in doubt, find a good shade tree and see what comes to you.
