Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday July 22. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On July 17 a mostly breeding plumaged CURLEW SANDPIPER was seen among a
swarm of shorebirds along Bullgate Dike at Summer Lake SWA, it has remained..
On July 21 a LONG-TAILED JAEGER was there.

A probable SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was reported July 18 at Waterhouse
Powerline Park in Beaverton. It could not be relocated. Male ROSE-BREASTED
GROSBEAKS were reported during the week east of Waldport and at Cascade
Locks.

A MOCKINGBIRD was at Bandon State Park July 15-16. The nesting EASTERN
KINGBIRD at the Sandy River Delta successfully brought off young during the
week. On July 20 a SOLITARY SANDPIPER was at Fern Ridge Reservoir and is
still being seen.

A PECTORAL SANDPIPER was seen July 16 among a swarm of shorebirds on Tumalo
Reservoir west of Bend. On July 19 an ANNA?S HUMMINGBIRD visited a feeder in
LaGrande. A female COMMON GOLDENEYE with six chicks is now being seen on
Landon Lake near Tollgate between Elgin and Weston.
