examining other photographs, i've found a few bonaparte's adults much
further out (image is hardly sharp for the distance, but they match stokes'
photographs)... and, i forgot to mention the dozens of caspian terns in the
area, mostly in the lagoon, but often enough in the air all over the
northern end of jetty island...

been further out... and, while the normal summer habitat in everett harbour
is not coniferous forest, i'm wondering if i spotted some migration kids out
for their first real spin around-the-block...
