The Rare bird alert continues for the immature BROWN PELICAN.

Sightings for Saturday, July 24
The immature BROWN PELICAN was again observed in the Spanish Banks/Lacarno
Beach are from 06:45 till 11:00 when it flew to the eats out of sight. At
11:20, presumably the same bird was seen from the Wreck Beach area to the
Iona North Jetty.

Friday, July 23
An immature BROWN PELICAN was spotted off the Spanish Banks / Lacarno Beach
area. It did spend time during the day further off shore in English Bay.

Thursday, July 22
Fifteen plus COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were observed around 8:45 PM in overflight of
the West Bay area of West Vancouver.

Wednesday, July 21
A bird thought to be an AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN was seen from the ferry west
of Bowen Island.

A LAZULI BUNTING was seen in a berry field off the 216th St. dyke in Maple
Ridge.

Two COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were seen near Fraser Park & Beatty in Vancouver.

At Reifel were the male REDHEAD and 4 SANDHILL CRANES.

Seen at the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal were 3 BLACK TURNSTONES.
