The July 24th Port Townsend Marine Science Center Puffin Cruise to
Protection Island was a beautiful sunny day. Sightings were as follows:

Double-crested Cormorant
Pelagic Cormorant
Great Blue Heron
Harlequin Duck Surfbird
Heerman's Gull
Mew Gull
Glaucous-winged Gull
Pigeon Guillemot
Rhinoceros Auklet
Tufted Puffin 8-10
Bald Eagles 15-18

If you're interested in a birding trip to Protection Island National
Wildlife Refuge, sign up for one of the Puffin Cruises: July 31 and
August 7 & 14. These cruises are in the evening, 6 pm until 9 pm.
