A bit earlier today, around noon, I heard rich gurgling from a Purple Martin
very high over the house, apparently out of my range of vision. That
prompted me to watch the skies a bit more intently. In the ensuing hour I
had seen 8 Common Nighthawks, two Turkey Vultures which gave the impression
of migrants, and a day-time migrating Yellow Warbler.
