>From personal observation I know that 68 AMERICAN PELICANS appeared in Two Rivers County Park on the Columbia River opposite the mouth of the Snake River the morning of June 29, 1989.

Yakkers and Tweeters,
I have lived in southern, eastern Washington for some time. I remember when the American White Pelican began showing up near the Walla Walla delta, and for me it was wonderful to see these birds. Then they moved closer, and I saw
them from the roads and bridges in Kennewick and Pasco. Now, I see them well up the Columbia Reach and the Yakima River at least to Prosser. My question is, did anyone keep record of this "habitat migration" or overtaking of habitat
for years and progress? Like when they were first seen at the WW Delta? Other places?
Just curious, I guess.
Thanks,
Nancy Darby
