they appear to be back... four hooded mergansers, probably juveniles, on
the pond along forbes creek, near juanita bay park...

the crests are just barely visible, and all look like females... plumage is
as described by stokes (for some reason, sibley's western portable doesn't
describe hooded youngsters)...
