Tuesday June 01, 2004:
RED CROSSBILLS were seen at the bike shop near the bird store feeding their young.
A MOURNING DOVE has been seen in the 5600 block of Lost Lake Road.
A pair of BULLOCK'S ORIOLES was seen near the old foundation at Buttertubs Marsh in Nanaimo.

Monday May 31:
A HAIRY WOODPECKER was seen along Wren Road in Parksville.

Sunday May 30:
"RARE BIRD ALERT"
A ROCK WREN was seen again in the 700 block of Ermineskin Road in Parksville.
Twelve Sunday birders went on the Sunday Bird Walk to Morden Colliery Provincial Park
and found the following thirty-seven species:

Saturday May 29:
"RARE BIRD ALERT"
A ROCK WREN was seen in the 700 block of Erminskin Road in Parksville.
A PARASITIC JAEGER was seen offshore at the Little Qualicum River and on shore were RED CROSSBILLS.
A BLACK HEADED GROSBEAK was seen in the 3000 block of Northwest Bay Road in Nanoose Bay.

Friday May 28:
A MOURNING DOVE was spotted along Maki Road in south Nanaimo.
A CHUKAR was seen with CALIFORNIA QUAIL at the Cowichan Estuary near Duncan.

Wednesday May 26:
Seven pairs of BLUE-WINGED TEAL and four PECTORAL SANDPIPERS were seen at the Englishman River Estuary in Parksville.
