Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 3. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

On May 27 a PHILADELPHIA VIREO was reported from Malheur NWR Headquarters,
along with a HUTTON?S VIREO. On May 28 a YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO was at 6 mile
pond in the Catlow Valley. A COMMON GRACKLE was there May 30 and a RED-EYED
VIREO on May 31. A CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER was near Adel May 30.

Two GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES were at Fields during the week. A female
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was there May 29, and a PLUMBEOUS VIREO the next day..
On May 31 a female BLUE GROSBEAK was reported from Fields. On June 1 a
MAGNOLIA WARBLER and a CATBIRD were at Fields.

The EASTERN PHOEBE along the Little Deschutes River south of Sunriver
continues to be seen. On May 28 a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was at the longspur
fields in North Portland. A EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE was there the next day
and continues to be seen.

On May 30 a GRAY FLYCATCHER was on the coast at Otter Point Wayside north of
Gold Beach. On June 2, 17 BLACK SWIFTS were at New River south of Bandon. A
COMMON NIGHTHAWK was in Bandon May 30. Two AVOCETS are now at the South
Jetty of the Columbia River.

On May 31 twelve WHITE PELICANS were at Ridgefield NWR. A TRICOLORED
BLACKBIRD was seen that day also. On May 27 a MARBLED GODWIT was at the
Heron Lakes Golf Course in North Portland. Two MARBLED GODWITS were at Fern
Ridge Reservoir May 26. A flock of TRICOLORED BLACKBIRDS was near Sutherlin
May 31.

On May 26 a WOODHOUSES WESTERN SCRUB-JAY was at Dog Lake west of Lakeview.
There were many CALIFORNIA WESTERN SCRUB-JAYS also in the area.
