Hi Tweeters,
Went to Spencer Island today, the access directly to the Island is closed for
now. They are working to re-etablish the estuary for the benefit of Salmon.
You have to follow the path that goes along the Snohomish River to get to the
bridge accessing the Island. There was a male Bullock's Oriole hanging around
the bridge and just North of the bridge on the Spencer Island side today.
There were also Cliff and Barn Swallows taking advantage of the low tide and
gathering mud for their nests at the bridge too. I noticed a House Finch nesting in
a Cliff Swallow's mud nest under the I-5 bridge also. Lot's of Willow
Flycatcher's calling and a few Western Wood Pewee's too.

Happily Birding,
