Tuesday June 08, 2004:
A WESTERN TANAGER was spotted in the 240 block of Dawkin Lane in the Westwood Lake area of Nanaimo.
A pair of EVENING GROSBEAKS were sighted in a yard along Magnolia Drive in the Maple Glen area of Parksville.

Sunday June 06:
Sixteen Sunday birders went on the Sunday Bird Walk to Neck Point Park in Nanaimo
and found thirty-seven species. Among the highlights were 24 MARBLED MURRELETS, several PIGEON GUILLEMONS and 18 PELAGIC CORMORANTS.

Friday June 04:
Three CASPIAN TERNS were seen near the Deep Bay Marina at Deep Bay.
A family of BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAKS were seen coming to feeders along Blackjack Drive in Lantzville.
A pair of WESTERN TANAGERS were seen coming to suet feeders at Horne Lake.
A SPOTTED SANDPIPER was seen at Horne Lake.

Thursday June 03:
" RARE BIRD ALERT'
Two WESTERN KINGBIRDS were seen in a yard on Cameo Drive on Gabrolia Island.

Wednesday June 02:
Two young BARRED OWLS were spotted along Keven Street on Gabrolia Island.
A SPOTTED SANDPIPER was seen at the Nanaimo River Estuary in south Nanaimo.
Three AMERICAN PIPITS were sighted near the viewing tower at the Nanaimo River Estuary in south Nanaimo.

Tuesday June 01:
A WESTERN GULL and a SPOTTED SANDPIPER were seen near the viewing tower at Qualicum Beach.
