On May 29th my Grandson Chaim Sisson found a pair of Gambel's Quail. We
were camping in Yakima Co.at Cottonwood campground on the Naches River,
about 30 mile east of Yakima on Hwy. 410. He also found them, or others,
near the Hwy. Dept. stockpile next to the park.
I finally got a good look at a male on June 1st. as we were getting
ready to leave. I saw other Quail along the Hwy. and assumed they were
California. Next time I''ll check a little closer.
