Just I reminder I called it a Bushtit with a hurky bill
in the first place, then changed my mind mostly because
because of its monumental size.

Here are a couple of in-hand reference shots. The hand is
mine in both shots and my thumbnail is 15mm across (for
all you photometric analysts):

We will likely go back and forth on what this is, but I
do want to refocus those who keep suggesting it is a juvenile
something. There aren't very many species that would have
juveniles out, yet and of those that would, there should be
little or no flight feather wear because the flight feathers
in a newly fledged bird are new. Flight feather wear is
clearly visible in the photo making this a bird that has
been around for at least 1 year. This bird is an adult
something, not a juvenile something.
