I have some great info for you if you would like it Brenda, my wife is an
Aussie and of course it is a great location of ours, birding and recording
is marvelous down under.

Cairns there is Cape Tribulation, Daintree rainforest, Karunda and Mossman.

Sydney, not much done there but there is the Blue Mountains.

Melbourne, you have the excellent Christmas hills, the Great dividing ranges
etc.

Darwin there is Kakadu (You need a permit for this territory) also south of
Darwin is beautiful, places like Kathryn Gorge.. there are also lots of hot
springs with great birding south of Darwin.

When the animals come to us,
Asking for our help,
Will we know what they are saying?

When the plants speak to us
In their delicate, beautiful language,
Will we be able to answer them?

When the planet herself
Sings to us in our dreams,
Will we be able to wake ourselves, and act?

Hey Tweets,

I'm heading out to Australia in less than a month and
even though I have pretty much firmed up what I am doing in most places, I
thought it might be worth it to talk to people from up here who have been
down there. We will be spending roughly a week in each of these places,
Cairns (Queensland), Sydney(NSW), Melbourne(Vic), and Darwin/Katherine(NT).
Any information is welcome and I would love to hear about places people
found particularly awesome, etc. I want to hear a perspective other than
people down there because its hard sometimes to associate with what people
have told me about. Anyway thanks in advance.
