Speaking of bushtits, can you experts out there in Tweeterland tell me about
their typical fledging schedule for the Redmond (WA) area? We have an
active nest in a rhodie just outside a co-worker's office window on the
corner of our building, with excellent views (approx. three feet from the
window). Today I briefly glimpsed four birds foraging in the rhodies and
azaleas in front of the office as they often do. Last week I saw several
foraging in some conifers down the street. Is it too soon for babies to be
flying around? We first noticed their nest in mid-April as they were
putting the finishing touches on it.
